My dyslexic child is incredibly gifted and intelligent. She struggles, however, to demonstrate her intelligence and abilities because she doesn't test well in a traditional test setting with typical tests. In our experience, the educational system will not and, because of class sizes and lack of funding, can not accomodate her in the way she needs (and we don't expect that the world outside of education will accomodate her, either), so we have spent years homeschooling her to give her the additional skills she needs to survive WITHOUT accomodation. Not only does this take time and dedication, it takes LOTS of money for the curriculii and tutors that we must purchase ourselves. This kind of donation allows us to better prepare our daughter for the high-stakes tests she must pass in order to continue her education and reach her potential. We are so thankful to those who are so generous! It's a gift that can make a real difference in the course of her life.

I am so thankful for your generous donation of the SAT Prep DVD. I felt my daughter was at a bit of a disadvantage because we couldn't afford the $1,000 fee to take a SAT Prep course with Kaplan etc. I am excited for her to begin the course and improve her test taking abilities. I look forward to the improvement and the possible financial aid that comes with better scores.
I think what you all are doing is GREAT! I am a home school mom and I found this through the HSLDA website. My son doesn't like school even at home. He needs to be prepared for these tests and this program sounds very good. I just bought an SAT book at the bookstore for my older son when he was in high school. This looks a whole lot better. Thank you SOOOOO MUCH for making it possible for us to have a way for our son to study for the ACT!!!! We homeschool because our son has learning disabilities, and the regular classroom was just too frustrating and overwhelming for him. At home, we are able to provide hands-on-learning opportunities that are geared to his areas of interest. I am ordering this program even though our son is only a highschool freshman, because it will probably take 2 years for us to work our way through it. THANK YOU and God bless you. I want to thank all the people who made this program possible. I am raising an at risk special needs child that I adopted through foster care system. When we adopted him we were told it would be highly unlikely that he would be able to finish school let alone go on to college. He is currently completing the 8th grade with an A, B average and is hoping to go on to college.
